Cheryl Unruh’s newest book is a collection of poetry, Walking on Water (Meadowlark Books). She writes about the land, sky, the weather. About life and death. As a child, she helped her father maintain the township cemetery; her curiosity about death began there.
Her two books of Kansas essays, Flyover People: Life on the Ground in a Rectangular State, and Waiting on the Sky: More Flyover People Essays (Quincy Press), received the Kansas Notable Book Award.
