Dr. John E. Peterson, former dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, died in October 2017 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor. Dean Peterson was 96 years old.
We are announcing A REMEMBRANCE OF JOHN E. PETERSON ceremony to honor his service to Emporia State University as well as service to the state of Kansas. It will be held at the Sauder Alumni Center on Friday, April 6, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The first and last half-hours of this time period will allow time to visit and enjoy refreshments. The formal part of the event will last from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Dr. Peterson's family — his wife Merle, son John, daughter Karen and her husband John — will be in attendance.
