Billings finds delight in all word-related aspects life holds. She has published three books of poetry as well as in online and print journals. She is known for the dramatic presentation of her work, and recently left a decades-long career as a Topeka nurse to pursue poetry full time and speaks on the transformative nature of poetry and art-making.
