Swing by the May Massee Gallery in William Allen White Library Room 308B on Wednesday, June 27, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., to view an exhibit of Robert McCloskey's original artwork from three of his books: Make Way for Ducklings, Time of Wonder, and Burt Dow: Deep-Water Man. McCloskey was the first children's book illustrator to win the coveted Caldecott Medal twice,receiving the award for Make Way for Ducklings in 1942 and Time of Wonder in 1958.
"Make Way for Ducklings: The Artwork of Robert McCloskey" opens July 20 at the Cincinnati Art Museum. This exhibit features more than 80 pieces of original artwork from the May Massee Collection housed in ESU's Special Collections and Archives.
