An Exploration of Drawing, Painting, and Printing in the Archives!

The Emporia State University Special Collections and Archives invites the public to view amazing archival artwork that will be displayed for an exhibit titled Rock, Paper, Scratchboard: An Exploration of Drawing, Painting, and Printing!

The exhibit will give the community an opportunity to observe rare drawings, paintings, and prints from the 1820's to the 1960's. The art was created using many different mediums, including; pencil, pen, ink, crayon, oil paint, casein paint, tempera, acrylic, and watercolor. The exhibit also includes prints produced by engraving, etching, lithography, screen-printing, and woodcutting.

The exhibit will open on August 15, 2018 with a come-and-go viewing from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in room 308B of the William Allen White Library. If you cannot make it to the opening, no problem!  You can gain access to the exhibit throughout the semester by visiting William Allen White Library room 119.
