To the Campus Community,
Residential Life Move-In begins on Thursday (August 16, 2018) at the Morse Complex and continues on Friday (August 17, 2018) at the Towers Complex. To foster a smooth move-in for our students, families, and guests, we ask that you do not park in lots reserved for our arriving students. Please refer to the maps below to review specific information for each day:

August 17, Towers move-in: https://www.emporia.edu/reslife/info/FALL%202018%20MOVE%20IN%20FACULTY%20STAFF%20PARKING%20RESTRICTIONS%20TOWERS%20MOVE%20IN.pdf
On Thursday we will need the parking lots along Morse Drive from 15th Avenue to Highland Street to be open for in-coming students, parents and guests to participate in the move-in event (indicated by yellow shading on map). These lots will be back open for public parking on Friday.
On Friday we will need the parking lots between Market Street and Highland Street from 14th Avenue to 16th Avenue to be open for in-coming students, parents and guests to participate in the move-in event. This includes all the parking in the parking lots east of the Towers Complex and Stormont Maintenance Facility (indicated by yellow shading on map). In addition to these lots, we will need the entire parking lot north of the Student Recreation Building, the parking lots east of the football stadium and the parking lots north of Wilson Park (these are also shaded). These lots will be open for public parking on Thursday.
Please take note of the parking availability for each day and make plans to keep clear of the lots affected by the move-in process. It is also recommended to keep clear of the move-in areas during move-in. There will be significant vehicular traffic around the complexes and you may find yourself in a parking queue line.
University Facilities and Residential Life appreciate your cooperation during these events and look forward to assisting and welcoming our students back to campus in a positive manner and environment.
With gratitude,
Mark Runge, Director of Facilities
Cass Coughlin, Director of Residential Life
