November 7 and 8 - Emporia's Company L in World War I
Special Collections and Archives, the Department of Communication and Theatre, the Department of Social Sciences, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Lyon County History Center present “Emporia’s Company L in World War I.” In this reader’s theatre program, Educational Theatre Company members Thaddaeus E. G., Ryan Wollum, and Greyson Waltmire will bring the stories of World War I veterans Col. Arthur Ericsson, Lt.Col. Ellis Christensen, and Cpl. Andrew Fry to life. Scripts were adapted by Professor Theresa Mitchell from interviews conducted for the Flint Hills Oral History Project. Performances will take place on November 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sauder Alumni Center and on November 8 at 3:00 p.m. in the Learning Commons of William Allen White Library.
