ESU Theatre is proud to present "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" by Jethro Compton, and based on the short story by Dorothy M. Johnson, as our next production for the fall semester. The show is a classic western drama of good vs evil as we follow the story of a man that seeks to bring education to a lawless place only to catch the eye of a dangerous outlaw.
"The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" opens on November 28 at 7:30 p.m. and runs to Dec. 1. Each show will open at 7:00 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. There is a matinee on Dec. 1 along with an evening performance. The matinee will open house at 1:30 p.m. and the show will start at 2:00 p.m. Performances will take place in the Ronald Q. Frederickson Theatre located in Roosevelt Hall.
Tickets purchased in advance for this show will be $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. Tickets purchased at the door on the day of a performance will increase to $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.emporia.edu, from the University Ticket Office in the Memorial Union or by calling 620-341-6378.
