Topeka - With flags already lowered in honor of the life of former President George H.W. Bush, Governor Jeff Colyer reminds Kansans to also recognize the position of the flag at half-staff on Friday, December 7, 2018 as a recognition of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
"This is a day to honor and remember those who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor," said Governor Colyer. "We thank all of those who have served our nation and continue to serve to protect our nation."
Flags should continue to remain lowered from sunrise to sunset December 7th for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and remain at half-staff at sunrise December 8, 2018 until sunset December 30, 2018 continuing the previous order for the passing of former president George H.W. Bush.
