It is not too late! Creating brave spaces: Understanding intersectionality of identity in learning environments meets on Tuesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in VH243. As an educator, you will be expected to meet the needs of all learners in your class. This course will help you meet the social-emotional needs of your future students, which is currently a state goal. All education majors are invited to participate, so bring a friend along.
This course is a contract course. You can decide the amount of work you would like to complete to earn 1, 2, or 3 hours of college credit. This is a workshop format. We will do activities in the classroom and participate in discussions each week. Some weeks we will have a guest speaker. The outside work is minimal; the majority of work will be done in the classroom. There are no required textbooks.
