Jumpstart Design and Delivery is Back!
Jumpstart Design & Delivery - hosted by Learning Technologies - will be held on Friday, April 26th from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday, April 27th from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Location details are forthcoming. This is an intensive two-day program with an optional third workday for faculty and instructors - geared toward designing and developing an online course from the ground-up using the Quality Matters framework. This event isn't just about using Canvas. This is intended to introduce faculty to strategies and best practices to improve online instruction, along with suggestions to improve course accessibility.
All program participants will receive a $1,500 stipend for successful completion, which includes:
• A completed Course Map
• Development of Course and Module Objectives/Outcomes
• An instructor introduction video
• A module introduction video
• A faculty bio page
• A course Inventory Citation List
• At least one assignment with a grading rubric
• At least one discussion forum with a grading rubric
• A syllabus in an accessible format
• The course outcomes linked to one assignment or discussion using Canvas Outcomes
• All videos captioned
• A Quality Matters Internal Review conducted by certified Peer and Master Reviewers
We are excited to partner with you and look forward to the opportunity to assist with your course design. Twelve available seats are assigned on a first come, first serve basis - with the AOP and General Studies faculty having priority and possibility more deliverables required. If you have taken JumpStart previously you may re-enroll for a refresher, but the stipend is reserved for first-time faculty.
