TAKE BACK THE NIGHT
SOS and THRIVE will be hosting Take Back the Night on April 18th at 6pm in the Fredrickson Theatre! We will be joined by Russel Wilson, a survivor of human trafficking, enjoy a musical guest, and have a Speak Out for survivors to share their stories and poetry, embracing them in support. We will end the night with a march around campus.
History: Take Back The Night represents the earliest worldwide stand against sexual violence, especially violence against women. TBTN Events began in the 1960’s in Belgium and England with protests about women not being safe walking down the street alone. The movement came to the US in the 1970's and first took place on college campuses.
