Special Collections and Archives presents the exhibit The Children’s War: Images of World War II in Children’s Books. This exhibit showcases original illustrations from children’s books written in the 1940s and ‘50s and explores how World War II is depicted in these stories, considering topics such as postwar rebuilding in Axis nations and the experiences of European refugees in the United States. Join us any time from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. for an opening reception in the May Massee Gallery, inside Room 308B on the third floor of William Allen White Library.
