KPERS Optional Life Insurance is extra coverage to help you protect what matters most – your family. You decide how much they need and pay the cost through payroll deduction.
And you can get guaranteed coverage during open enrollment with no health questions.
- Up to $50,000 member guaranteed coverage (to $250,000 guaranteed max)
- Up to $25,000 spouse guaranteed coverage (to $25,000 guaranteed max)
- $10,000 or $20,000 child coverage
Coverage is available for employees in regular, benefits eligible positions, both Unclassified as well as University Support Staff, regardless of which retirement plan you have. (Coverage is not available for Student and Graduate Assistant positions.)
