ACES is up to something new! To add to the cool rewards and incentives program for tutors, ACES now has a Tutor of the Semester Award that is designed to honor one or more tutors who have gone over and beyond on the job for the department and ESU students who visit the Center. Only currently employed tutors can receive the award. The tutor has to work in ACES, and anyone can nominate a tutor. The award is based on one's ability to:
a. Provide excellent customer service.
b. Contribute to ACES as a campus department.
c. Work well on a team.
d. Lead others.
e. Help students achieve their academic goals.
ACES provides subject matter tutoring in the following disciplines:
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Biology
- Chemistry
- College Algebra
- Earth Science
- French
- Geography
- German
- Microbiology
- Organic Chemistry
- Physics
- Psychology
- Spanish
If you know a tutor who fits this description, please consider nominating them for the Tutor of the Semester Award! Nomination forms can be obtained at the ACES GA’s workstation located next to the ACES Resources Tree (2nd Floor of the William Allen White (W.A.W.) Library). You may also obtain a nomination form by emailing ACES at aces@emporia.edu. Completed forms can be submitted via email to gtaylor3@emporia.edu or to Room 209K in the WAW Library.
