The Research and Grants Center invites applications from undergraduate students from all disciplines to participate in the annual Kansas Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol poster symposium. The event is an opportunity to display, in poster format, the research conducted by undergraduate students at Kansas’ universities to legislators and other members of state government. Five finalists from Emporia State University will join their peers from other Kansas Board of Regents Universities in Topeka at the Capitol. Researchers must meet the following requirements:
· Undergraduate student during the 2019-2020 academic year
· Completed research under the guidance of a Kansas 4-year public institution faculty mentor
· Follow the methodology of the appropriate academic discipline
· Completed research of sufficient quality to be presented at a professional academic meeting
· Use skills, resources, and capacity to produce a professional academic poster
· Rehearse presentations prior to the Capitol event
