There is still time to enter an essay contest for up to $1,863 in scholarship money!
The rules are simple, but the deadline is quickly approaching. So give it some thought and write your essay.
Rules for the $1863 scholarship essay competition:
- Open to all ESU students (both undergraduate and graduate), EXCEPT those graduating in May 2020.
- Write an essay of 750 to 1,000 words about something at Emporia State University that changed your life. (Word limit will be strictly enforced; title does not count in word limit.)
- By submitting your essay, you agree that it may be quoted or published in full by the university and released to media.
- Do not include your name on the essay itself; they will be blind-judged.
- Complete the entry form* and attach it as a cover sheet.
- Submit entries in person at Marketing and Media Relations, 005 Plumb Hall; or via email to Gwen Larson at glarson1@emporia.edu. (Digital submissions are preferred because they save processing time.)
- Deadline for all entries is 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.
Judges reserve the right to divide the scholarship for more than one recipient.
