ESU Theatre is seeking a boy to play one of two sons in our upcoming production of Medea. This classical tragedy by Euripides, in a new translation by English playwright Ben Power. The role is small but vital and will require the actor chosen to appear onstage both living and “dead.” We are seeking a boy between the ages of 7-10, lean in stature, and with blonde or light brown hair. Experience in plays is preferred but not necessary. Medea will be presented in ESU’s Ronald Q. Frederickson Theatre April 22-25th at 7:30, with a 2:00 matinee on the 25th. Rehearsals are March 15th-April 21st at ESU. This actor will not be required to attend all rehearsals and a detailed rehearsal schedule will be made available to him and his parents. Please contact the director, Dennis Turney, at dturneyj@emporia.edu, to set up an audition or for more information.
