The retreat formerly known as Mosaic is now Sankofa!
The theme of the Sankofa Diversity Retreat is, "Learning from the past, to build for the future." During this 2-day retreat, ESU students will engage in a variety of activities and exercises of self-awareness and self-exploration. In keeping with the theme, students will also reflect on their ancestry, and the importance of the roles that elders have had in their lives.
The retreat begins at 3 p.m. Friday, April 3rd through 8 p.m. Saturday, April 4th.
The location of Sankofa will be at Camp Alexander in Emporia. Students will not stay overnight. Meals and transportation will be provided.
There is still time if departments would like to collaborate with this initiative.
This retreat is free and open to all ESU students, but spots are limited.
