As the primary academic resource for ESU students, ACES prides itself in helping students gain the necessary college success skills to excel in and outside of their classes. Students have access to peer tutoring, student success coaching, and academic and personal development workshops -- all at no cost to them. The Center’s ACES Tutor Development Program is a College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certified program, and trains 30+ tutors each year. Meeting with trained and certified tutors often means that students benefit from a higher grade point average (GPA) than students who do not utilize ACES services. ACES recruits tutors for various subjects, student assistants, and evening supervisors year round!
The ACES team is looking forward to welcoming new anatomy and physiology, chemistry, earth science, geography, and psychology tutors for this upcoming fall semester! If interested, please apply via Handshake to the positions. Navigate to Handshake through ESU's Career Services website at: https://www.emporia.edu/alumni-careers/career-services/student-services/.
