We wanted to send you a reminder about our current Intramural Spring Golf Classic as well as give you an update on the status of requirements at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
This event is a single player, stroke play format that must take place on the Emporia Municipal Golf Course. Complete your round of golf and submit a photo of your score to Daniel Fragel (dfragel@emporia.edu). Scores and official rules will be submitted on IMLeagues.com/emporia. The Golf Classic will take all scores between now and Saturday, May 9th. If interested, please play whenever you are available between now and the 9th!
The Golf Course released this week the following requirements for all golfers:
1) Golfers will be allowed to play in groups, provided there is 1 golfer per cart and continue following the 6' social distancing rule. Also, only 1 player can be on a tee box hitting at a time.
2) The front of the clubhouse will have to be kept CLOSED. All payments must be done over the phone (we can keep a credit card on file for faster/easier process)
3) We will continue to not put rakes and ball washers out, and FLAG STICKS MAY NOT BE TOUCHED!
4) The south door of the clubhouse will be open for restroom use only. Players may not come into the clubhouse other than to use the restroom. All drinks, food, and range ball purchases must be done over the phone and brought out to the player.
