Do you need volunteer hours? Would you like to help an elementary student improve their reading? The Kansas Masonic Literacy Center is organizing volunteers to listen to 1st-5th graders at Riverside and Timmerman Elementary School in Emporia. Volunteers will listen to their student read for 30 minutes once a week to improve their reading fluency beginning September 16th and ending December 13th. Appropriate level books are already selected and the volunteer listens to the student read and helps them with unknown words.
