On October 18 anytime from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., join Special Collections and Archives at a special Homecoming open house for the exhibit The Children’s War: Images of World War II in Children’s Books. This exhibit showcases artwork from children’s books written in the 1940s and ‘50s and explores how World War II is depicted in these stories, considering topics such as postwar rebuilding in Axis nations and the experiences of European refugees in the United States. The exhibit is on view in the May Massee Gallery inside Room 308B on the third floor of William Allen White Library.
