Testing ESU’s Emergency Alert System

 We will test our campus Emergency Alert System at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. The system should send alerts through multiple channels:

  • Text message to your mobile device;
  • Email to your campus email or another address you provide;
  • On the homepage of emporia.edu; and
  • ESU’s social media channels

There’s one other way to get the message. You can install Alertus on your Windows or Mac computer. When Alertus activates, an emergency message screen will appear on your computer on top of your workspace. A simple click takes the message away, but it will stay on until you dismiss it.

For more information about the campus alert system and signing up for Alertus, go to https://www.emporia.edu/student-life/hornet-ready/campus-alerts/.
